The new firmware was available via a satellite download (make sure you turn off your 4DTV's so you can get the download) (Friday Jan. 11, 2002) (EC)

-The 922 4DTV new firmware includes:

The DSR922 firmware will be broadcast until the entire DSR922 population is upgraded.
This new firmware will address the following issues:
Support of symbol rate of 11.71 MPS
SCPC manual tuning screen that can select SCPC and MCPC symbol rates and bit rates. There is no option for service number entry.
SPDIF mute on VCII and NTSC channel selection
C/Ku collocation satellites can be stored
Letters X and K on digits 8 and 9 are correctly entered for satellite selection
Several improvements have been made to the firmware to eliminate random resets, incomplete channel capture (snow when changing satellites)and other "bugs" that can occur when moving from satellite to satellite and during normal operation.
